Episcopal parishes from across the U.S. observed Migration with Dignity Sunday on February 1 and 8, and more observances are planned during the season of Epiphany.

In the Diocese of Los Angeles, the children of St. Michael & All Angels, Studio City, created Welcome Quilt squares to be stitched into a quilt to hang wherever immigrants will be encouraged by messages of belonging and love.

In Montana, two parishes used MWD Sunday resources in the liturgy on Feb. 8– Holy Spirit, Missoula, and St. Luke’s, Billings, where Bishop Marty Stebbins touched on migration in the sermon.

After the service in Missoula, around 45 parishioners walked from Holy Spirit to the Federal Courthouse, for prayers for Migration With Dignity and remembrance of people killed by ICE or Border Patrol since January 2025.  The names, age, and country of origin of these people were written on white posters, then laid on the ground after being read out loud, to which all responded “Present” in their memory. At Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Gainesville, Florida, special prayers for immigrants were offered in the Prayers of the People. The rector spoke briefly about Migration With Dignity and a parishioner shared information about Holy Trinity Immigrant Ministry at coffee in the Fellowship Hall.
